India/ Kerala: The K.M. Anthru Foundation has officially announced the K M Anthru International Literature Prize 2025, inviting entries from English-language writers and literary artists worldwide. Instituted in memory of Late K M Anthru — a noted writer from Kerala and visionary founder — the prestigious international prize recognizes outstanding creative contributions in English literature. It honors writers whose works demonstrate innovation, depth, cultural resonance, and a meaningful impact on global literature.
Nomination Period
The call for nominations is open from 20 June 2025 to 30 September 2025 (both dates inclusive).
Eligibility & Categories
The prize is open to published writers and artists from any country. Both self-nominations and nominations by publishers, literary agents, or fellow writers are welcome. All nominations will remain confidential.Nominations are invited in the following broad categories:
- Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Literature
- Best Work of Fiction
- Poetry Collection
- Non-Fiction
- Memoir / Creative Non-Fiction
- Innovative or Experimental Literature
- Best Play / Dramatic Work
- Contributions to Creative Arts, Performing Arts, and allied fields
While literature remains at the core, the prize also welcomes submissions that explore literary expression across art, music, culture, and entertainment. The final categories and winners will be decided at the discretion of the jury based on merit.Each winner will receive a prestigious citation and a specially designed memento featuring the photograph of Late K M Anthru alongside the recipient’s name.

The winners of the 2025 edition will be announced and honored in December 2026.
